Le Chateau de Bordeaux, St. John

St. John USVI Restaurants

When you step into the Victorian splendor of Le Chateau de Bordeaux, located a short five miles to the east of the famous Cruz Bay, you will find that not only are you taken to a whole new level of class in fine dining, but also your physical elevation will be nearly the highest on St. John, which makes Le Chateau de Bordeaux practically the best place for panoramic views on the Island. Inside you will find a courteous staff prepared to make your visit one of the most exceptional that you could have hoped for. With a selection of fine wines and some of the most superbly cooked food in the Caribbean, dining at Le Chateau de Bordeaux is a truly heavenly feeling.

The Menu

Enjoy some of the most exquisite plates available to customers today by taking part in the multiple course meals here at the luxurious Le Chateau de Bordeaux. Although they are not necessarily required, it would be a good idea to make reservations and arrive for a lunch or dinner. The midday meal will have you enjoying drinks and burgers almost any day of the week on the cool patio. Right there, a grill is set up to serve you and your family while you relax and take in the exceptional views that the great location has to offer. For dinner inside, you will find that the menu will tantalize your taste buds with its wide variety of sumptuous items available to the customer who is excited about a truly fine meal. The appetizers that are offered, for example, include a delectable spring roll made with chicken or a scintillatingly textured soup made from carrots. Perhaps you would like the next course to include the West Indian chowder that includes the seafood catch of the day or maybe you are feeling like trying out one of the delicious pastas flavored with real saffron. Alternatively, visitors to Le Chateau de Bordeaux who want a taste of the continental favorites may choose to sample the fillet mignon or the fresh salmon smoked to perfection. In addition, any true lovers of mutton should not miss the exquisitely prepared Dijon pecan rack or lamb roasted with the excellent shallot port.

For dessert, sample one of the many fine cheesecakes offered at the great restaurant. Come at the right season, and you may get the delectable lemon cheesecake delight. My personal favorite is the berry craze cheese cake, offered at various times during the year. Indeed, there seems to be no limit to the elegance of the dining experience here at Le Chateau de Bordeaux.

The Drinks

Enjoy a superb selection of wines and quality beers. This place boasts great tropical island drinks, and the specialty is the daiquiri made from passion fruit.

The Restaurant

Surround yourself in the grace and style of a colonial day Victorian mansion. That's what the house used to be, and still today it retains that exquisite charm down to the very lace table clothes spread across each carefully laid table. Fine diners like you will take part in an exquisite multiple course meal while imbibing the ambience of grandeur.
