St. John USVI Restaurants

Looking for a higher end food quality restaurant with air conditioning? Surprisingly, your options are limited on the Island of St. John. But when you head on over to Paradiso, you'll find that air conditioning is just one item on a long list of great features that will make you want to come back. Enjoy the beautiful shiny brass décor that is all a part of the authentic looking maritime theme so lavishly put forth by this elegant fine dining experience. Indeed, come here to enjoy a wide array of flavorful sensations as you sink your teeth into any dish from the extensive menu. Ranging from seafood to beef and from pasta to seared vegetables, the delicious food here is sure to amaze you.

The Menu

A certain few of my personal favorites here are found among the long list of appetizer selections that are offered on the Paradiso menu. For starters I am absolutely thrilled to thrust my fork into the fresh Caesar salad that comes dressed in Parmesan gratings, tomatoes dried in the sun and delicious garlic roasted to perfection - crunch crunch crunch and I'm transported to another world. One of the Island's best vinaigrettes made from mango can also be found here, slathered upon the dumplings featuring lobster and shrimp delights.

Yet while the Caesar salad may exhibit a variety of fresh garden deliciousness, it is no rival to the selection of greens that come with the main dishes. Packed with authentic flavor, these exceptional dinner courses come garnished with the most beautiful array of garden treasures. Take, for instance, one of the most prized dinner items on the menu such as the freshly caught tuna - this would be the yellowfin species, in most cases. Seared to crisp and juicy goodness in the pan, this excellent course is laid out with an unbelievable decoration of greens. With everything from radicchio to baby arugula and from fennel to baby greens, these dishes are absolutely to die for.

And if you are one of those diners who prefer to eat red meat than to take part in the abundance of fresh seafood on the island, enjoy the savory sirloin steak cooked in the classic Kansas City style. Again, the St. John garden comes to life in this meal as the herb seasoning makes this one of the best slabs of meat that can be found on the island. Carrots, squash and potatoes also make the juicy chicken plate of the more sumptuous experiences that can be had. Indeed, out of all the menus in St. John, this is one of the most enjoyable.

Look for specials on the dessert menu. It changes all of the time but be sure to save room because no matter what the precise menu item is, it is sure to be good.

The Restaurant

Find yourself out at sea before you even reach the harbor when you come to dine at the Paradiso. Located on the second story in a nice shopping center, this is better experienced inside - full of polished maritime décor - rather than outside above the traffic on the road.
