Skinny Legs, St. John

St. John USVI Restaurants

Located in the beautiful Coral Bay on St. John, Skinny Legs offers happy Island vacationers like you a delicious lunch or dinner. Also known as one of the better sports bar locales in the area, Skinny legs is a great nightlife destination for those attracted to the edgier side of St. John - at least, as edgy as it can get on a resort vacation destination. Made of wood and tin so that it looks more or less like a tropical Caribbean shack, Skinny Legs is frequented by a sailor crowd. Of course, on St. John all the members of the yacht club, making this place both classy and down-home at the same time.

The Scene

Scoping out the scene at Skinny Legs takes a little more than just an initial look around. Somewhere in between a rough and tumble sailor's dive and a high end country club, Skinny Legs caters mostly to the yachters who like to frequent this establishment - but they can sometimes be hard to distinguish from the normal local folk and the visiting tourists. Indeed, all sorts of people like to come to Skinny Legs to check out the great music, eat some great food or even sit up at the bar and throw back a few tall ones.

Indeed, that's why many visitors to the island, tourists and groups of families also find that this is a great bar and grill to stop into while at Coral Bay. This is in part because of the frequent special events being hosted at Skinny Legs such as concerts, plays, dances, benefits and more. In fact, the list doesn't even end there - avid sports fans get to take part in great activities like the volleyball and horseshoe contests. Then, of course, Skinny Legs' list of events would not be complete if it did not host a handful of grand sailing regattas throughout the year.

Come every night and find a great band playing live music. The place is often pretty packed and kids are more than welcome, making this a family friendly place to visit.

The Food

Sink your teeth into a delicious fish sandwich stuffed with the savory catch of the day. But although it might be considered foolish by some not to look for good seafood here on the island, it is well worth trying the burger when you visit Skinny Legs Bar and Grill. That's because many visitors overwhelmingly agree that this bar has the best. In addition, try their other varieties of good old, all American menu items like the chili dog, regular hot dogs and more. For the salad lovers in the crowd, sample a great selection of Greek and Chef's salads.

The Drinks

Enjoy a selection of thirst quenching island beverages at the bar or at your table.

Kid Friendly

Bring the whole family and find out that your kids will be begging you to come back to Skinny Legs bar and grill. Why? It's because this fun, down home restaurant seems to have put a lot of effort into providing a safe and friendly environment for young children. While definitely still an enjoyable place for grownups - good food, bar, live music, etc. - Skinny Legs pays makes sure that children have a great time by allowing them play around and even write on the walls!
