The Lime Inn, St. John

St. John USVI Restaurants

A great Wednesday night shrimp dive that attracts throngs of long time locals and happy island vacationers alike, the Lime Inn is sure to amaze your taste buds as well as your many other senses. With a great island ambience and a vast selection of seafood, this wonderful, centrally located Cruz Bay restaurant is perfect for the whole family.

The Menu

Let the feast begin! When you sit down at one of the tables out in the open under the fresh blue of the Caribbean sky, check out the amazing selection of seafood - especially shrimps and lobsters - that are offered here. Grilling to perfection is the name of the game as island visitors are able to sink their teeth into a variety of sumptuous seafood specials. One of my personal favorites her at The Lime Inn is the grilled lobster. Spiced with the timeless flavor of the Caribbean, this tropical delight always wins - and I assure you it is plenty good for even the most ravenous taste buds. But the grilling doesn't stop here. That's because the enthusiastic chefs just can't get enough of this done. Therefore they turn to sumptuous shrimp and grill it until it is perfectly juicy, tender and tasty. To make the kitchen even more exciting, the freshest catch of the day is brought in and grilled in the expert style that The Lime Inn is famous for.

On top of these grilled seafood delights, The Lime Inn menu features a wide variety of other delectable options - just in case a happy island visitor like you might prefer a more land based type of meat, or even a vegetarian option, as hard as this may be to believe. Yes, the tantalizing selection of pastas served here are also truly amazing, as is the sumptuous chicken breast. An even more hardy meal can consist of any one of the number of steaks - you guessed it; grilled to perfection.

Yet despite the down home feel to this wonderful crab joint, those classy diners with a finer palate who might otherwise walk away would be wise to join in on some of the more exquisite items on the menu here. That's because the fillet mignon with a stuffing of sumptuous crab meat is absolutely to die for, as are the other specialties offered at The Lime Inn.

Don't miss out on the dessert, either. With a sinful fudge brownie heated and slathered with melting ice cream to top off the night, guests will feel well fed and well treated when they leave The Lime Inn.

The Restaurant

Just imagine yourself in a jazzy Caribbean festival toned down just a few notches and you will be able to picture this great food location as it truly is all year round. With great all-you-can-eat shrimp bonanza every Wednesday night, the spirit of Island decadence never really seems to die away.

Out in the open in the Lemon Tree mall in Cruz Bay, The Lime Inn is arguably one of the most central places to eat on all of St. John.
