Hillcrest Guest House is one of the oldest romantic and established small hotels, B & B's on St. John. The land was bought in 1940's and the vacation rental accommodation was built in 1966 by the Hall Family. Overlooking pristine Cruz Bay, St. John, also known as Love City, and its Harbor. Boats, yachts, sunsets and sunrises can be seen from here.

The Front, Southern and Caribbean Ocean View suites are air conditioned and contain a kitchenette, The kitchenette consist of microwave, hotplate, perculator, large refrigerator, small counter space and kitchen sink; to prepare your meals.

The Tropical Garden Suite is the largest suite, 500 square feet, not including the porch and has two air conditioners, a full kitchen, consisting of a microwave, perculator, large refrigerator, counter space and kitchen sink; to prepare your meals. It can accommodate up to 5 people; queen size bed, queen size futon (8 inch thick mattress) and an ottoman which opens into a twin size bed.

The Peaceful Retreat is the second largest suite, 435 square feet, not including the 252 square foot porch. It also has two air conditioners, a full kitchen, consisting of a gas stove, microwave, perculator, large refrigerator, counter space, kitchen sink and two flat screen TV/DVD combo. It accommodates 2 people and possibly a child on the full size futon with an 8 inch thick mattress. You also have access to the Lounge Area upstairs, on the top floor, where the DVD's are housed and lounge chairs with ocean views.

• All of the suites have a dining set for you to relax and enjoy your meals or drinks.
• Queen size bed for your sleeping comfort in all suites.
• Complimentary Food & Movies: Items are placed in your suite prior to your arrival and include breakfast items, snacks, drinks and liquor.
• Beach Equipment: For the beach, you have snorkels, fins, beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrella, ice chest and towels.

Perfect Pick for St. John
My husband and I just returned from our first trip to St. John. After much deliberation, we chose Hillcrest Guest House for our 6 night stay even though we usually stay at larger, lusher resorts directly on the beach. For a visit to St. John, the Hillcrest was perfect and a choice we will make again.

Cozy suite, excellent
We just finished a stay at the Hillcrest Guest House in Cruz Bay, St. John. We had a great stay in the Tropical Garden Suite. Awesome views, nice wrap around balcony area with chairs and two tables. Great view of the sunset over Cruz Bay. The owner and host Phyllis Hall was very nice and accomodating with the things that we needed.

Hillcrest Guest House
The views from the rooms are pretty, the apartments clean and comfortable. Extra perks included being picked up and dropped off at the ferry station by Phyllis, wi-fi access, kitchen with snacks, fruit, coffee, tea, guidebooks. There is not a single thing we could complain about. Thank you Phyllis!
