For your choice of a historical kayak tour that will take down the crystal clear calm waters of Salt River on St. Croix you should check out the tours available by Caribbean Adventure Tours. Not only will you be paddling on the famous Salt River where Christopher Columbus and his crew once did in 1493, but you will also see various Indian Burial grounds and villages. This is a perfect way to retrace history while you paddle your own kayak. This tour is a bargain at $45.00 and starts at 9am. The tour will last around 2 ½ hours.

Their ecological kayak tour is another great tour for $45. This tour along Salt River will let you experience all that nature has to offer from the mangrove forest to the tropical flora and exotic animals that call this unique area home. The tour guide will give you an explanation of the importance of the red and black mangroves to the environment as you watch the egrets and iguanas enjoying this natural habitat. This tour also last around 1 ½ hours and begins at 9am.

If it is romance that you are seeking with your kayak tour then you will absolutely love Caribbean Adventure Tours Moonlight Tour. Paddle your kayak along Salt River as the Caribbean sun is setting. This is an awesome sight. As you paddle along the tour guide will share ghost stories and legends and lore of St. Croix. The tour begins between 5:30pm and 6pm. The price is $45.00. Virgin Island Ecotours has a very wonderful and unique kayak tour where you will enjoy seeing tropical reef fish and several, colorful small marine life and unusual sea life including upside-down jellyfish. Other great animals that live in this area which you are sure to see include sea turtles, baby barracuda, octopus and spotted eagle rays. The only items you need to bring are your bathing suit, shoes that can get wet, suntan lotion, and of course your adventurous nature.
